The UHU Guesthouse
Urban landmark with a new mission
You don’t have to speak German to figure out what the stage coach and the words „Altes Postamt“ might mean. This handsome building dates back to the early 20th century and served as the township’s post office until 1988. When the mail service moved on, the building – meanwhile a registered landmark – was extensively renovated to become a residence for senior citizens. 18 years later, in 2016, another thorough renovation prepared ‚Ye Olde Postoffice’ for its new mission: With 26 modern, stylish rooms it is now part of the UHU Hotel.
