I am a world traveler and am accustomed to 45-star lodging; however, the Uhu is one of the most unique and BEST values I have ever experienced. The accommodations are excellent, the rooms are clean, the area is quiet, the staff is exceptional (actually, the staff is more like family), all employees are very accommodating, and the breakfast is one of the best I have EVER experienced. The train station is a block away with easy access (11-15 minutes) to the main train station in Koln. Moreover, the colleagues who introduced me to the Uhu have been visiting the Uhu for 25-30 years! By their estimates they have stayed at the Uhu more than 60 times. For years I have visited the Koln Christmas markets and always look forward to the next Uhu visit. Its a great place and I feel strongly that once you stay at the Uhu, you will feel the same way. Love it!
